Friday, October 31st, 2008Intake Exam
Thursday, October 30th, 2008Took my intake exam today to determine my skill level. Went ok. Tomorrow classes will commence. Am excited. Biked around town a little to take some photos but find it hard to not be the gaijin taking photos and being a total idiot whilst doing that. For the same reason my blip is not going great. Hopefully, tomorrow will provide better pictures as I will check out the Yamasa Halloween Party.
For now, I cannot sleep.
Arrival in Japan
Tuesday, October 28th, 2008After some serious plane-ing and trane-ing I arrived at Okazaki. Been here for half a day now, but before I was too jetlagged to write and now I am too jetlagged to sleep.
I have been reading in Murakami’s After Dark, which Sy gave me before I left, and am liking it.
The Japanese around me has made me realize I have long long way to go, but am excited about learning and motivated by my lack of Japanese language skills.
It is so cool to finally be in Japan (and stay here for while), you wouldn’t believe.
Last Day in America
Sunday, June 29th, 2008Ok.
This will be my last post from the US of A.
I am wickid/hella tired, folks.
I’m waiting at LAX for checking in etc. Think I will ahve my suitcase sealed first.
I had a good time here.
On my last day I failed miserably at finding some cool stuff for the peeps back home. LA is way too spread out for that ish. It really sucks.
Went to the Hollywood Forever Cemetery, and watched The Man Who Knew Too Much on the graveyard lawn. It was awesome. really cold, as we (me and Melissa) came sort of unprepared. Regardless, I had an awesome time. Would def’ny go every weekend if I lived in LA.
Oh yeah..
Saturday, June 28th, 2008This will be my last day in America, and it saddens me.
Day 27: LA, I like.
Saturday, June 28th, 2008Day 25: LA, G!
Friday, June 27th, 2008I have arrived. Hopefully, I have taken my final Greyhound bus. Was yet again a blast. Some woman thought it was a good idea to bring her demon-child on a night bus. I’m not exaggerating here. It really sounded like an alien or a goat on XTC. Scary as fuck. For reals.
2 days here, so I had better get going becoming bigger than James Dean.
